Each Saturday you can head over to an award-winning market featuring over 100 specialty traders every Saturday, creating a weekly platform for local farmers, fine-food purveyors, organic merchants, bakers and distributors, grocers, mongers, butchers, artisan producers, celebrated local chefs, and micro enterprises.
It's housed in an old sky-lit Victorian warehouse and courtyard at the Old Biscuit Mill in the emerging industrial neighbourhood of Woodstock, and is as much a source for farm fresh as well as organic foods and locally produced specialty goods, as it is a meeting point to enjoy community, swap ideas and stories, and become educated about what we buy and eat by going directly to the source.
The market also features a full-service recycling depot where all market waste is sorted and collected. Members of the local community and market-goers can also bring down their recyclable materials from home for disposal.
Enjoy live musical performances or bring a vinyl record to play at the Bring and Play station. Sit at the big tables and enjoy your eats and drinks.
From 9am to 2pm (tip: get there early!) 373 - 375 Albert Road, Woodstock. For more info check out www.neighbourgoodsmarket.co.za
